Long Blue and Little Red are brothers in opposing colors. Each stool is made with Syzygium australe legs and a Camphor laurel top, hand-shaped with a gouge to reveal the character of the timber. Syzygium australe is an Australian native also known as Tucker Bush Cherry with edible fruits and a distinctively peppery smelling wood. On the other hand, Camphor laurel is a highly invasive species in our area.
The surfaces are finished in a hand mixed traditional linseed oil paint blend, giving depth to the color while offering durability and protection.
